| What is the cause of low or slow water production? |
| Low or slow water production with reverse osmosis systems may be caused by low water pressure, crimps in tubing, clogged filters, or a fouled membrane. - If the water pressure is below 40 psi, a booster pump may be necessary. - If the water pressure is above 40 psi, first try retapping the tap supply line by tightening the self-piercing valve clockwise until it is fully seated, then turn it counterclockwise until it stops. This should open enough space in the line for proper water flow. - If there are crimps in the tubing, straighten or repair them as necessary. - If the filters are clogged, they will need to be replaced. - If the membrane is fouled, it will need to be replaced.
