| With reverse osmosis systems there is a certain percentage of water that goes down the drain. This water is carrying away impurities, or particles that are too small to be caught by the filters. Premier reverse osmosis water filtration systems have an automatic shut-off valve that cuts off the flow of water to the drain when the holding tank is full. This valve stops the reverse osmosis system from continuously sending water down the drain, thus conserving water via having the unit work according only to necessary usage.
