| Can any other filters be used with Premier reverse osmosis systems? |
| Yes. The first stage sediment filter must be a 5 micron, 10" cartridge. The second stage filter, or carbon filter, is more crucial. A purification grade carbon must be used, also 10" length. Premier recommends the customer use Premier's G.A.C. 56 cubic inch carbon filter because it contains more carbon than other filters, resulting in better filtration. Keep in mind the various components of a Premier reverse osmosis water treatment system are designed to enhance each other, making the system work much better. Therefore, you can use other reverse osmosis filters; however, you may need to replace them more often due, in part, to their smaller volume of carbon.
